Eleven blues, from pale sky to deep marine: Sky & Gold, Turquoise, Marine, Blue 1, Blue Laguna, Aquamarine, Glossy blue, Sky & Blue metallic, Black & Blue, Red & Blue, and Sky & Red. Several are two-tone, with a second colour or a gold layer sitting on the raised edges of the scales, so the hide changes as it moves in the light. The video above shows this on a blue and gold hide.
- Size: 11 cm or more across near the head, 60 cm or more long (4.3 × 24 in)
- One hide per order; every hide differs a little in size and pattern
Makers use the blues for wallets, bracelets, hat bands and jewellery.
Tanned in Iceland by Nordic Fish Leather from salmon skins left over by the food industry, using geothermal and hydro energy. It does not smell of fish. Read more in What is fish leather?
